Tyre was born the only daughter in House Keir, a minor house of the Korin royal family that ruled over one of the border provinces, making her a cousin to the infamous pegasus sisters of House Taerin. Being the only sister in a house full of brothers, she spent her childhood following them everywhere. After a while, everyone outside their province only referred to the four brothers of House Keir. She would have a good laugh a lot of the time when courtiers would expect four boys and wind up with three boys and one fiery girl. Not that Tyre really minded.

It hardly surprised anyone when she followed in her brothers' footsteps and began training to became a dragon knight. Her brothers got a kick out of their kid sister whooping at the top of her lungs when they took her riding on their dragons, and it wasn't long before she was allowed to journey to the mountains bordering the province to claim a dragon of her own.

Like her cousins, she's mostly dealt with small-time missions as a dragon knight - escorting merchants across rugged terrain, delivering messages and the like. She'll take just about any mission she can get so she can go flying, and the farther away from home the better. She says it gives her a chance to see the world, and let the world see what Korin's like. She always returns home often enough to make sure her father doesn't worry, although he always says he has the utmost faith in her and her brothers.

However, this soon changed after her brothers were killed in an attack by rival house Sylea. When Keir had the lord of Sylea murdered as revenge, their rivalry escalated into a war. Tyre misses living the way she used to, having fun and living life on the edge, but at the same time is prepared to do anything to defend her home-even if it means her life.

Tyre's loud, assertive and completely willing to butt into other people's affairs with her own opinion on it. She tends not to think before speaking, but also has the sheer luck of tending to say the right thing anyway. She speaks her mind and oftentimes acts more like a country girl than the member of royalty that she is. She doesn't hold anything back, and can be rather blunt at times.

She loves a good time, although no one's really been able to figure out just what her definition of a good time really means. It can be anything from racing through the sky to climbing trees to drinking contests. Regardless, she doesn't seem capable of getting upset over anything and will laugh off problems like they're nothing.

Since the beginning of the war, however, Tyre is more pensive and worries easily, especially about her cousin Irene.

Tyre is slightly taller than your average girl, with short-cropped blonde hair that never seems to stay combed the way it's supposed to. Not that she ever tries to keep it looking neat, anyway. She has blue eyes and an overall boyish look to her, although the clothing she wears tends to make it rather obvious that she's a girl, as does her voice. Quite frankly, she doesn't care either way if people mess up her gender. It gives her a nice laugh.
